Antique Carved Chrysoprase Pendant

This Antique Carved Chrysoprase Pendant was made around 1900 (1880-1920) and is both 18K yellow Gold and Platinum. The center plaque is Chrysoprase commonly used during this period and is often mistaken for Jade or Emerald so beware when purchasing a carved plaque. This piece is spectacular as the carved Chrysoprase is large and with excellent color and clarity and the carving is tops. I tried to show the brillance of the color and carving but it is hard to photograph. The center plaque measures 1 /14″ x 1/2″ alone. The pendant itself is 3 1/2″ x 1 1/4″ so you can see how special this piece is. The piece is set with twenty 20 Cabochon Rubies with an estimated weight of 2.51 Carats and one hundred 100 Rose Cut Diamonds with an estimated weight of 2.70 Carats. Last but not least the finishing touch a Pearl 8.80 mm with a luster grade of very good and a surface grade of very good.
